Our operation does not use large construction cranes but a small gantry crane. Are there OSHA standards that we need to follow? If so how often do we need training?
Gantry cranes are covered under OSHA standards. Training is not typically required. However management is responsible for assuring that the crane operator is qualified. KAFA reviews safe practices for overhead and gantry cranes which complement operational training. KAFA does not train on operation of gantry cranes or mobile crane operations.
