Do you think that your basic first aid and CPR isn't enough?

Would you want to know what to do if advanced medical help was hours or overnight or even days away?

If you answered yes to any of these questions, this course may be for you.

The Wilderness First Responder (WFR) Progression Course is designed to build upon your existing skills as an urban and allow you to handle extreme emergency situations when help is not close by, ethically, legally and effectively.

Because this is a progression course, you can earn your WFR certification in just one weekend*.

*The following are prerequisites for taking the Wilderness First Responder Progression Course:

Current Medical First Responder or higher certification (e.g. EMT or Paramedic, note: physician or nurse does not qualify) from a recognized agency (e.g. state, Red Cross, National Safety Council)  

Current professional CPR certification (e.g. Red Cross, CPR for the Professional Rescuer or American Heart, Healthcare Provider)

            Be age 18 (16 with parental permission) or older.                                                                

            Be capable of strenuous activity including but not limited to:

  Lifting 100 pounds waist high and/or lifting over 200 pounds with assistance.

  Able to stand for extended periods of time.
